What is Gratitude
Recently I came across a blog of my friend and I read the posting with deep interest and got so much impressed that I could not resist temptation of giving a part of it below. The subject matter of posting is “Gratitude”. I recommend my readers to read this blog.

“………Gratitude . What is gratitude ? Who is it ? Why is so important ? Gratitude is the feeling of one's heart towards some goodwill done for the self by other/s. In this world of treachery and corruption who does bother to think about such a character. A person who is true is looked at as being foolish and gullible in this world . Please note i don't mean to offend any one . It is just a general statement . It is a reality that is there in this vicious world ! Who has time to thank the Lord at least once a day while having food for being chosen to be fed for that day. Who has time to feel elated at the thought that he/she is safe in a sheltered room cozy with soft beds and blankets unlike many who need to beat the heat or silently shiver in rain and cold out on roads?
This is gratitude. If one has gratitude towards God for all goodness He has showered on them then he / she automatically would want to repay that goodness to Him either by caring for a poor or helping someone in need or at least being good to a neighbor who is poorer………..” Unquote
